Took some hard looking but finally found a secluded spot holding a good number of mallards. Enough to justify calling a couple friends up for a hunt on saturday. First time this year we had this many ducks bombing the decoys before shooting. It was like shooting fish in a barrel for an hour or so. Had a group or two of mallards come in and then finished off the 4 man limit with teal. Should have had more green but with all the initial chaos the hens were not spared. Not a soul near us on this public joint. Going to let em rest till next weekend. Hope they are just as dumb then.
