Guys, looking into the future of next summer and want to set up a food plot. Probably about a half acre in size is what I am thinking, mainly because the lease I am on has cattle year round and I will need to somehow fence this off from the cattle.

I was thinking of running a solar powered electric fence. Just curious if anyone has a similar set up and how many strands of fencing were put up or other pointers, or size variations.

Pictures would be great if you have them, but ideas or pointers are very welcome as well!

near our farm we got a farmer that has a single strand of hot fence about 1 and half feet off ground and thats it. he keeps his cattle in the pasture that way. all they gotta do is get hit by it once or twice and they will leave it alone. cows are the smart to an extent lol
