 i hate to ask... but what is this? possible hybrid?

Never ever shot a duck I didn't recognize but this one has me stumped, looks like a mallard hen but a smaller beak and green on the wing instead of blue, but the rest of the wing is colored similar to a mallard. What do you think?

Looks cool. I would guess mallard/gadwall hen.

this is the wing patch from my dad's drake brewer's duck. Notice any resemblance?    I think it is a brewer's hen

You are having some great seasons the last couple years! I am, I'm thankful for it too. Last year my first shot on opening day was a banded pintail, then I killed a really nice cinny, then my first mallard, which isn't a big deal for most but I was for me. Now this year ive already got my first canvasback, first Woodie and now this hybrid. Can't wait to see what the rest of the season has in store. Oh yeah killed my first rattlesnake this morning too lol.
