Any of you guys out there hunt on the Rio Grande near the El Paso area? Im currently deployed but I will be back In El Paso sept of 2013 and was just seeing how the hunting was going? Hope you guys are knocking them dead and keeping the BP agents on their toes. Post some pics if you got em and happy hunting.

Spent a lot of time out there over the last six years. Never saw any ducks near the Texas/Mexico portion of the river. Occasionally saw a few on the New Mexico side around some of the pecan orchards but nothing near huntable numbers. The dove hunting is fantastic. Good Luck.

I was hunting there from 2010-2011 and I shot my limit nearly every day. Would hunt right on the river between the entry control points and saw ten of thousands of ducks. Ill be heading back there in 2013 around septemeber so hopefully the numbers are still there. Also its a big river so its possible that they are just favoring specific areas too. I mostly hunted the portion between el paso and fabens. I absolutley love the dove hunting down there too. You just cant beat a good dove hunt.

im gonna be back at bliss september of 2013 also. never hunted ducks there though would love to start when i get there
