I turned 18 last week, which got me excited about purchasing my first firearm without my parents. I went to Cabelas that day and attempted to purchase a gun, but I was declined because my license had expired that day. A week later and one trip to the DMV, I have officially purchased my first gun!! This gun is a Christmas gift to my mother, but also a symbol of our freedom that we often take for granted. Had to take the sassy picture so I can show some of my liberal acquaintances the freedom that they condemn.

I got my eye on a TRG 42 in .300 Win Mag. Seth up at the Beretta Gallery is a good guy to work with and is gonna give me a good deal. Although that store is in Highland Park and insanely nice, they will actually compete with the price of any retailer. They sold that shotgun for 75 dollars less than Ray's when I told them I would walk.

I have been beyond blessed throughout my life to have such a nice and prosperous family. I plan to pay it all back with service once I graduate college. I want nothing more than to move onto the WY farm and work for my dad tending the Alfalfa and raising the cattle as my career. Until then, I will study hard in high school, get into University of Wyoming, and get a degree in ag. econ. As much as I love Texas, my true calling is up in the Cowboy State. As the old saying goes... "The world is full of bastards, increasing in number the further one gets from Missoula, Montana." and Cody is much closer than Dallas.
