While feeding this morning ran on to this fresh kill from last night. The deer come out to these open coastal bermuda fields to bed at night where they are safe from predators. hammer Not so anymore. Finding more and more deer kills especially this time of year. This is a young 4 point buck. You can't see tracks on this grassy surface but more that likely a pack of yotes probably with some young. I have seen as many as five or six adults in a pack in the late afternoon.

sucks but part of nature, at least it was a spike and not a huge 12 point with a double drop tine smile

If I put my wife in a high fence will her rack get bigger?

Our yotes have been called so much they just sit and bark "laugh" when someone tries. The gray fox will run up your legs. grin

On our place in Stephens County it sounds like your surrounded when they all start going at it. A pack will start at it off in the distance and pack after pack will start yelping until it sounds like they are on top of you. I'd like to thin them out after the season.

Pictures were taken on property 10 miles west along the Colorado river. We have been overrun with yotes since the sheep and goats disappeared in large numbers a few years back. Predator control took a back seat to recreation and most of the new landowners don't allow helicopters or trappers on their properties. Think its gonna come back to bite them in the arse in a few years.
