I am looking at some used ones online, what are yalls thoughts on these bows? 6.5&7. Are they quiet? Fast? Smooth?

Never shot one, but I have been told by two different Mathews Bow techs in two different shops to stay far far away from the Reezen.

Didn't like it and I've been a Mathews guy since the early 90's.

love my reezen also, draw cycle is not as smooth as dxt or z7e, but you get the reezen for the high speed (340ibo). also my groups with FMJ and QAD are very tight

I have shot the Reezen several years ago. Mushy backwall and just not one of Mathew's best.

I am on my fourth season with my 2009 Z7. Last year I did buy a Z7 Extreme. The Extreme is a good bow, but I am finding myself hunting more often with my original Z7 than the newer Extreme.

I think the reason why is that the shorter axle to axle of the Extreme is a little harder for me to hold steady for a longer (30+ yard) shot. The Z7 just feels steadier in my hand.

I have shot alot of deer and hogs with my 4 year old Z7 and I guess there may be newer or better bows out there but it sure feels good in my hands.

Mathews Z7 Bow for Whitetail and Hogs
Remington R-15 .223 REM for predators
I also like to "hunt" sporting clays with my Benelli SuperSport!
