I had one in 30-06. It was a legitimate 1"shooter. The only problem was it was not consistent on where it put those groups! Some would be high and to the right, I'd zero it, shoot 1" groups. The next time I went to the range, it'd be low to the left or high to the right. One never knew. I floated the forearm, checked every thing including switching scope, nothing helped. I loved that rifle, but it had to go on it's way. I ended up selling, through my gunsmith, to a gun trader that wanted it for his personal gun. He didn't like the glossy stock and stripped it. In doing this, he fount a tiny hairline crack. It was not noticable untill stripped. He repaired it and the gun shoots great. Damn! Oh well. capt david

The falling/rolling block type rifle tend to be more picky with ammo choice then others. It's mainly to do with the forearm attachment.....there's no free float. So you have got to find ammo with the right harmonics for the absolute best groups.

Thats about it.
