These pics are from a friend of a friend near Meridan, Texas last Friday. This buck was seen right before dark Thursday night but was too far for a good shot. While on the way in Friday for lunch they saw buzzards circling and found him. Notice the claw marks on the inside of the rib cage. Do you guys think that a cat did this or yotes? As far as I know they've never seen mountain lion or tracks on the property. Either way, what a shame. He was an awesome buck!

Looks like coyotes ate him but dont think thats what killed him. No marks on the nose and neck area.

In the top picture, look at the top of the deers shoulder right below the guys left leg, does that look like a bullet hole?

Even if it is not, I do not believe that big boy died of a heart attack overnight!

Yotes didn't kill him, I'd bet. I'm with the rest, your buddy shot him and won't own up.


That's almost unbelievable though, even if I gut shot that deer, then Tx heart shot him, I'd still come on here and tell eneryone of y'all what I'd done. Then say BUT look at the rack on this sucker.
