Have no experience with that one. A pretty good deal is available now from Cabela's online. Tumbler, sifter, Corncob media and polish for $54.99

I have my dad's old Thumbler. Its great. Sat for ten years in a hot attic and still ran well for two years with HEAVY use. Just replaced the motor at twenty years old.

A sifter would be nice though... I still use my hands and pick each piece out.

I plan on getting a Rotary like you mentioned in the next week or so.

So far, http://www.stainlesstumblingmedia.com/ seems to have a good package deal on the "B". I have not checked out what the shipping is yet.

If you find some better deals, please post up.

Cheapass SmartReloader Nono: 26.00 delivered off ebay
Lizard litter crushed walnut from Ebay: 2.49 for 12 pounds delivered - yeah, poor fellow paid 8.00 to ship it....
Small piece of white jewelers rouge - free from anno shop.
Total cost: under 30.00 and has been running for a year and a half and polished at least 6000 rounds for me and a lot of friends.

That thing gets passed around more than cheap wine at a hobo convention....

The Hornady vibrating tumbler is my favorite. It works very well and is the quietest one I have found. When you tumble a lot of cases, the quietness really makes a difference. The Frankford Arsenal one is good, but it is VERY loud.

Thumler's Tumbler Model B is by far the best one I have ever seen and gives you the option for stainless media.

My buddy had one that was 20+ years old and it saw more use than any other non commercial unit I have seen, he had used it for 10years and only had to replace the belt($2.00 @ harbor freight).

No more than I load I couldnt bring my self to drop the cash to buy one and got a standard vibratory tumbler...wish I had spent the cash though.

A thumler's model B and an RCBS rotary media seperator and you can process a serious amount of brass!

I have two Thumblers, one vibrator and one wet tumbler. The wet tumbler is loaded with ceramic balls and water/cleaner that will clean up the nasty stuff. You can even polish rocks with carbide media in this one. I use the vibrator mostly with sand blast media (corn cob) in 26 grit that I bought from the wholesale media supplier by the bag. It's cheaper that way and the 26 grit won't get stuck in the flash hole. I also season my tumbler media with Flitz to keep the brass shiney while in storage.

I use vibratory tumblers mostly. I was using brass polish until I discovered Nu-Finish car polish. Brass so shiney you could shave in the reflection.

I found a deal a used RCBS Sidewinder tumbler here on the classifieds. I use it with dry media, works great.
I've had trouble with the nut coming loose on the lid of my Harbor Freight tumbler and the vibration eating up the threads of the bolt. I replaced it once but it's tearing up again.

You should be able to pick-up a Lyman 1200 Pro Tumbler for about $60-65 shipped. You best bet for corn cob media, and ground walnut is the lizard department of the large pet stores. It's all natural, and much lower priced than the media that's bagged specifically for tumblers from the large gun suppliers.

You can get finely ground corncob blasting media that does a great job and won't pack the primer pockets. I use a tumbler loaded with this stuff and another one loaded with walnut media. The walnut cleans efficiently and the corncob polishes it beautifully.
