I am about to get one in a few days, and was wondering if the trigger is adjustable on these and if it's something easy to do ?

thanks

It does not have the accu-trigger. I own one in .308 and love it! You won't be sorry.

Unless things have changed you remove the two action screws, part the barreled action from the stock and adjust the trigger with the tool Savage provides. The last Savage trigger I was going to adjust was a friend's model 16 in .243. It was turned down as low as it would go from the factory, FYI.

before you buy look at the Marlin X7, it already comes with a near perfect accutrigger style trigger. They cost about the same.

I went to get one in 308 or 270 from academy. It didnt feel great in my hands and a little cheap feeling in the forend, and no accutrigger. I felt the mossberg atr 100... Walked away with the mossberg, it has the lightning trigger system(knock off accutrigger)

I ended up going on a spot stalk hunt for a red deer and borrowed a axis in 308. I was impressed with the rifle. Didnt notice the forend or the trigger. Dropped the hind with out issue.

Had the ATR in a few calibers, won't buy mossburg anymore, because they treated me pretty bad when I had an issue with the rifle.
The axis feels good, just a little heavy trigger.

Even with a gloved hand I've become used to a 2 to 3 pound trigger. I have no idea what the poundage is on my .260 with an Accutrigger, but its definately lighter than when it started out. Heavy triggers can ruin a good shot, for sure.

I have one in a 223. I put a rifle basix trigger in it and it will group 5 shots in a dime at 100 yards wth handloads.

It is my truck and varmint gun. Very acceptable gun for the price.
