Casey- Here's some pics of the one I built. The finished product has a painted bottom and a handle for easy carrying.

Nice to see my plans still being used. My PVC legs are 12 years old and have only replaced the platform 3 times over the years. Cheap, easy to build and works like a champ.

I've posted the materials/plans for this many times on different forums. I'll research and see if I can't find one of the thread links and re-post.

I bet if you pull 2 legs off that stand, you can use it for a layout blind. I use my sport stand as a layout. If you are not sure if you want to hunt in the water, or on shore, those dogs stands can work for both.

I built this stand out of steel. Now that I learned to weld aluminum I wish I would have waited to build it. Took me about 2 hours.

I love your stand idea. Hopefully you don't have a patten on it because I'm stealing it. Thanks for the idea.

I tried making my own out of pvc and plywood but just couldn't get it sturdy enough for the dog to be comfortable on it. Ended up shelling out the cash for a avery ruff stand. Im happy with the product but $175 is ridiculous!

You have to use large pvc and angle the legs out, mine is very sturdy, I even sit on it with the dog sometimes.

I may make the wood 2 pieces and connect them with hinges to allow it to fold up and easier to transfer. Then it pops out to regular 2'x2' stand for game time.

Any thoughts on that?
