All you land owners and lease organizer types. I am a disabled veteran and I've got a buddy who is fresh out of the Corps. We are looking at possibly getting a lease for next year, we've got a good place this year but its not ours, its our churches so we sometimes have to wait in line to get to hunt. Love the outdoor life church and all they do,heck they put me right on top of my first deer Saturday. I would like a place for me and mine though. Somewhere me and my buddy can hunt and setup on our own. A place where the landowner wouldn't mind me taking a friend or two to hunt on occasion. I might even be able to get one or two more veterans to go in on a lease of the right size, one of the guys lost both his legs so he would need a place he could get his chair out to. What do you guys think? I would love to have an all veteran deer camp. We all pretty much live on fixed budgets ie disability checks. Whose got what? oh and it would need to be within 3 to 4 hours from DFW. i know that's a lot to ask for but i figured i toss it out there. If you don't want to publicize your response feel free to pm me.

Any lease owners want to have a lease that is primarily or all veterans. I can personally guarantee that the lease would be well maintained and and all of the leasees would follow any and all guidelines to the exact letter pit forth.

That's 4 guys thus far. I know some land owner would love to have his lease managed by a crew of all veterans. Would be a great opportunity. Also if someone decided to five us a break on price it could be a tax deduction for charity. Make all your money and then some.

If you guys are interested in kids as well, please check us out at at www.youthoutdoors.org
We are a non-profit youth hunting program, but we also have a very active veteran program as well.
Thanks,
Gino

I'll make five if we needed a larger group. I'm still trying to find a place, but would rather hunt with a group of vets any day.

Would love to have 5 or more. Any and all info is welcome. Anyone who knows of a lease or a landowner share the info. We need to try to make this work. I will even go farther from DFW if need be.

Somebody has to know at least where we could start to look for a lease/land owner.

IMO the best way to find a good reasonably priced lease is to spend quite a bit of time in the areas you want to hunt meeting folks, feed/farm ranch stores, gun shops, processors, sale barn, coffee shops, anywhere LO's might hang out, or start knocking on doors.
Put a wanted add in the local newspaper in the areas you're interested in.

Some chamber of commerce web sites have info on hunting leases, usually up to date most have direct contact info and free.
This aint all of them but it's a start.---> COC listings

Ive seen several good leases listed here in the land & lease section too.

I've come across quite a few, but they were all out of my price range. Since we would be working on getting multiple hunters on one lease it might be easier to do.

What size lease and how many hunters total do we want? Once we get that info we can go from there.

Between 4 and 6 hunters. So probably 250-300 acres minimum on up to whatever we can afford. Prefer all year lease.

Any one interested in leasing out some land for an old dog. I am looking at rekindling some time spent away from my son over the last few years. Looking for a lease for next season. Probably 100-150 acres. I'll need it within a 100 mile radius of Wichita Falls Tx. Thanks

Cgpardon why did you hijack this thread? Are you a vet looking for a lease?

It all depends on the size of lease, harvest limit of the ranch or county. I could do $1,500 - $2,000 of year lease. PM also sent...

Veterans,

Get in contact with me. I am a Veteran of 8 years from the Army and currently work in Afghanistan privately. One of my new hobbies on my off time is opening new businesses within Texas. I just started one called Land Lease Texas. This is a dedicated website (landleasetexas.com) to showcase TEXAS ONLY leases. We are due to launch on 15 Jan, 2013. I would like to feature a spot on the page called, "Help Texas Veterans Hunt". Basically leasers and lessees willing to help Veterans can volunteer their hunts or property to support those who supported our Country and State. Email me at info@landleasetexas.com I look forward to hearing from you!

Regards,
Eric Moore
