This is 100% my fault,so before you start in on me,lets help my dog first.took my young female lab to crystal city, helped a fella with hunting cabin upgrades etc.Dog had never seen cotton tails, field mice,or prickly pear before, hell bent for leather, the little vernim took her on a tour of EVERY pear in the camp area.none in her eyes, but they did get in her tongue and #&&hole, and everywhere between.I got the big thorns out,but I have bad eyes and cant see the little ones. She is suffering miserably.Does anyone know how I can get whats left out of her.Thank you.TG

Either take her to the vet or give her a big dose of benadryl, some type of anti-inflamitory and a cold bath. If you dont know anything about the anti-inflamitory, dont do that part.

tried regular duct tape, too much under coat, just got hair, tried gorilla tape, started getting thorns, but had too much dog stuck to tape as well.Vetech neighbor just stopped by,said might need to be sedated and picked by hand.

Extra set of hands, good lighting, tweezers and a magnifying glass. The duck tape works on areas that she doesn't have thick fur.
Might have the Vet tech neighbor ask the vet what they would charge before you rule it out.
Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden. Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

My wife picked up one of these a few years back in a thrift shop for $5... it's been the best thing for cleaning up those hard to see thorns in the dogs (and me)!

This forum is a good link for problems. You have a lot of different dog owners on here with a wide variety of ailments that they have seen or had happen to their pets. What works for one breed may not work on another and there are a lot of different breeds on here. That and Google your ailment.
