I know everyone's got an opinion when it comes to this matter, and id love to hear them! Me and a good friend are looking to trap pigs and sell them this summer. Ive made pig traps on and off for a few years now for extra cash so ive got that that part down. Were planning on using a rooter door surrounded with a tear drop shaped cattle panel fence supported by T posts. We plan to make as many traps as we can and already have a few places with permission to trap. As for bait we plan on trying to get spoiled/leftover goods from grocery stores and such. We plan on running as many traps as we can, weve already got our trailer, truck, and loading ramp as well as a few gates already made. Ive trapped before but never on the scale were looking to do this summer, plan on having atleast 10 traps out at a time, and were starting to gather supplies and stuff right now. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated! I know everyones got their .02

Sounds like you have it covered as long as beer is on your supply list

How big of a demand is there for live hogs where you're at? Sounds like you've got everything covered.

The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Do you have a buyer? How many hogs at a time can they handle?

yessir definitly got the cervezas covered haha and we have a few buyers that we have talked to, in the different areas we will be in. (all taken of the tpwd approved swine buying list)I think the only problem we will run into is getting permission to trap differnt places after weve trapped out the ones we already have permission to trap on.

Make sure you got water in the trap. Doesn't take long to lose em in the summer. Plus you gotta please the tree huggers. Ran into that problem last summer. Landowner was all for trappin till he pulled up and seen piggies with no water
