I'd say he would make the AR. 2.5 or 3.5 yrs old. Good young deer to leave for a couple years.

Close on the AR's, looks like a 2.5 yo would at my place. You'll see a lot of ground shrinkage on this buck right now. He needs more time and he'll be really nice.

This is the kind of deer the AR rule was made to protect. He probably makes it but he's young.

as of right now i have got 3 bucks that would beat my personal best on trail cam... he is included, if i see him again i am gonna smoke him... i had him at 280 yards and didnt feel comfortable shooting that far....

There is no question he would make AR. It is not even a close call. Yes he is young but if you like him take him. It is your place and your decision.

If it were my place I'd definitely give him 2-3 more years to age and mature, he has alot of potential and you'll be hurting your future deer herd. But, it's your place and your decision.

If its your place I'd leave him a couple years. I finally got a big buck we'd been letting grow. We'd seen him the last 5 years. He was a 130 class deer which is huge for McClennan County where we hunt. Good luck.

true lol.... the thing that sucks is i got highway on 2 sides and the other 2 sides, noone ownes over 5 acres and a bunch of them got feeders

Whether to take a legal deer or not is a very personal decision based on a bunch of factors. #1 of which is whether or not you would be excited to get him.
Deer herd management is a laudable goal (I try to practice it myself). But it is not important to everyone, can be silly to even attempt to do in many circumstances, and is not the "be-all-end-all" of deer hunting. Having fun is. I would never let what anyone else says they would do influence my decision about taking a deer or not. JMHO

JMHO i agree and considering i have never seen a 10 point before and he would be my best, i am pretty sure i will take him if givin the opportunity...i just sure hope he makes AR like i think he will
