Doesn't look broke. Looks.like that's how it grew.

Could be from an injury. Does'nt look to be broke off.

$5 says he broke off. we've killed a few bucks like that in the past only to find out they had broken off at the beams.

hairline looks to me like the base was larger, could have had a mishap in late development. Dont see any muscle swelling or defects of any kind on left side. cant see hooves

Hold off and wait for a better pic of his right side. If he's not broke off (has bad genetics) in your opinion at the end of the season, fill the freezer.

I'd give him a year and see what he does. Beautiful face on him though.

It is an injury of some sorts but based on his other side I would not let him pass IMO.

I with STX I would remove him from the Breeding pool.

He appears to be a younger buck not over three and I agree with what has already been stated cant really see well enough to tell if it is a defect or broken off , give him another year and see how he turns out , and as already stated if you have better pics that shows it's a defect I'd still give him another year and see if he grows out of it if not enjoy his back straps.

Looks like a scrub to me but hard to tell for sure .. I've had deer leases full of scrubs but I'd hold up just cause he's young

He could have hit his horn on something when it first started growing and stunted the growth...but it doesn't look broke
