Been seeing a mountain lion on my property and im not too fond of it being there. Is it legal for me to give him a dirt nap? Just dont like the feeling of something being out there in the dark that could take me out!

Havent been quick enough to get him on camera, but if its legal to shoot him the hopefully ill have some after photos to share.

We have one on our place and I've only seen him once. His tracks are about all we find. I would love to get a shot at him because my place looks like a ghost town when he's there. No deer anywhere.

If all your seeing is tracks in might be a hound dog. My dogs tracks are huge! And he's like 5 months old. But yes, totally legal. Make sure he gets a pill and then another so he doesnt get up. A pissed off mountain lion is not something you want to deal with.

It is legal and the TPWD ask that you voluntarily report the shooting/sighting. With a home range of up to 1000 square miles, there is no telling when it will be back through and for how long it will stay! Good luck and make sure to take pics if it happens!!

I'm certain mine is not canine, no claw marks on the print. We do have some neighbors w those big white dogs that protect the goats but their claw marks are prominent in the prints left behind. No pics of him yet, just his tracks.
