I go down to Bandera at the end of every season, got some family friends down there. Anyone know how the season is going in that area?

We havent seen much on our 1100 acre lease other than a butt load of turkey. I have seen reports from an outfitter that posts on here that has told a different story. Might be a range depending on where in the area you are.

Do you happen to know of Ray Wharton? We hunt on his land, if I knew how to post pictures on here I would show you the ones we killed from last year. It is crazy the amount of deer he has out there. Not too many trophies, but a lot of nice deer.

Where I am the first rut is about over. Early last week they were going at it stronger than I have seen in years. then this past weekend it started slowing down. This morning I started seeing bucks back to the feeder that were missing for a while. To me the end of the season is usually not that great. The bucks have quit runnning and they are either dead or worn out. But you never know, it could be great. Good Luck on your hunt.

Hopefully we will have some goodluck. A couple years ago I killed a nine point down there with a split drop tyne. But since then it hasn't been near as good. I need to learn to put pictures on here.

There are quite a few axis down there as well. No season on them either!
