I just picked up an ADL for the price, in .308. it has an adjustable trigger and is $379 at Academy. Very light rifle compared to some of my other guns

adl, you can always convert to bdl with a stock and bottom metal. thats what im doing right now to my 25-06.
adl stock seems cheap, and light. only difference i can tell is stock and bottom metel.

BDL has nicer finish and nicer wood. Can't tell that they shoot any better but they do look nice.

I have a 700 ADL that is an amazing rifle. It is extremely accurate and has never disappointed me. The BDL is has a nicer stock, and has the bottom unloading feature, whereas the ADL has to be unloaded from the breech, but it's my understanding that they are essentially the same rifle other than those tow differences.

I have a few 700's, all ADL's.

I like them.

My father has used a BDL for 30 yrs give or take. A couple years ago we walked out after a hunt. He handed me his rifle while he loaded something in the truck. I immediately unhinged the floor plate and unloaded the gun. Pop was shocked "what did yo do? It isn't broke is it?". By comparison, his BDL is more nicely finished than my ADL. Not just wood vs plastic. It has a much "slicker" action and what appears to be a jeweled bolt. The bolt on my ADL feels like I'm open a desk drawer. Of course this could jut be the difference between a late 70's rifle and 90's rifle.
