These people really couldn't care less about these animals. In fact they are many times ignorant about this subject as can be seen by there statements, which have no basis in fact and eventually will be turned into and presented as facts by the media. The simple like to tell others what to do. They are after power and control. Stand up to these Tyrants and put them in there place!

Yep, there is more to it, it started out that a gun store here in Albuquerque was going to have the competition, then with a lot of pressure the idiots decided to cancel it, then the store in Los Lunas, just south of here said they would do it.

I praise Chavez for not backing down, bravo for him, the tree hugging POS's that started all this crap are just trying to start trouble, they piss me off. They have no clue. What I love is that the only way that game here in New Mexico is purely managed by hunter dollars, they do not give any of their money to help. We have some good program like the habitat improvement program, every hunter when they buy their licenses pay for a habitat improvement stamp, it does exactly as it says, it provides for different venues to improve habitat.

I don't know of any hunter, with few exceptions, who is not concerned with the environment and the animals they hunt. In fact when hunting licenses and rules and regulations were first introduced this was done to help create a healthy and sustainable environment. Yes that's right we are the true environmentalist, not the malcontent, malicious, no growth, flat earth, tyrants. We need to call them what they really are and that is not "tree huggers."
We can and should challenge people like this every chance we get if we are to retain and enjoy our rights!

This is the very reason everyone should support Texas trappers and fur hunters association. If no one goes to bat for us in the legislature Texas will become another Colorado or Arizona. Coyotes will become protected just like deer. Then when they get coyote hunting stopped the next thing will be deer. They not gonna stop and neither can we.

Excellent point Bird Dog. These people find the weakest point, attack that and then continue to drive a wedge through it. Can you tell us how we can support your cause. Is there a website.

Pretty nice website. It would be nice to know how many members, how many trappers in the state. What is the economic contribution of trapping in Texas? How trapping contributes to game management? Are there any issues before our legislatures or issues currently being considered?

I do know that the anti hunters have repeatedly attacked the m44 cyinide guns. They say its not fair. They have repeatedly attacked leg hold traps. It's started small in Colorado and now they can't use anything but a relaxing snare. It's more humane to let him dehydrate and die than use a spring loaded snare that will kill him In less than a min I guess. California has basicly lost all rights when it comes to varmints. I may be wrong but if I gotta beat a coyote off my britches leg everytime I go out in my yard or scared one is gonna get my kid, I'd want someone to kill them without restrictions. We are dang lucky with the trapping laws in Texas and you can bet if the trappers association goes so will trapping or fur harvesting.

Saw this on Yahoo, people are fighting back. The media thinks the public is stupid, and gullible. I think the public knows that since not many people know about hunting and the outdoors then these reporters and many liberal experts probably know even less!
