I cant stand layout blinds. A grassed in piece of burlap and your good to go. I busted up my back years ago and I just can't lay down in a layout for more then a minute or two without hurting.

I got a few of the cabelas layouts. I like them for the money but the finisher is a real nice blind.
OMG, this is the best slumber party ever!

Only worry about the finisher is that it is "water resistant" not water proof... Have y'all used them in fields after a big rain?

I have a redhead and it nice but the reviews for the Goosebusters series at Roger's seems to be really positive and they are affordable and light if your looking to keep a low profile on the sunny days.

I've hunted out of a lot of different blinds on the market...finisher is not a bad blind but not my first pick. Groundforce is both more portable and concealable than a finisher. My preference is for the FA brand blinds, as they seem to be more durable in my opinion. I like their xlandr/x-2 blind as its light, compact, and easy to conceal due to a low profile.

Finisher.....end thread
the thing about baiting is, even a rookie hunter could have a 170 bird season if they bait holes

I hate them too but they work. I use one of the cheapest but most low profie blinds you can buy and I am a big oaf.

What are some of the best in terms of conform, functionality and durability... Based on those parameters, Finisher fits the bill as others have said. If you are looking for lower profile, lighter, easier to pack/carry, can set-up in water, maybe less money etc..... then there are better options. Go to Cabelas and check out their brand, they make some big/comfy blinds as well..

Already checked out lots at the store and online, just wanted to get yalls thoughts too The kind of layout blind you are describing might be too big if you don't have any cover. You can buy a couple of inexpensive low profile layout's for the price of some of the bigger blinds. I am a big oaf and I can fit into one of these Not the most comfortable but inexpensive, effective and lightweight. Get low.

Ok so it seems like the Avery Finisher is the general consensus winner among folks on here... what makes the Finisher so much better than the competition? Is it features/quality, what?

Any downside to the Power Hunter? I'm about to order one on-line. I like the 360 deg. view...I think..

If you are going to carrying the blind any distance at all, I would get one that folds in three and can be carried like a back pack. I have a cheap Cabelas brand one and for easy carrying, it is great. When I am done hunting, I fold the birds inside the blind to carry back. My buddies and I all started with the big expensive ones, but soon went to the smaller cheaper ones for ease of portablility.

OK the true test to layout blinds is this; Can you by yourself carry it 200 yards along with gun and decoys, assemble it in the dark 20 min. before LST using only a headlamp in a 15-20 mph wind. Everything after this is only a bonus. Just saying real world issues count.
