When I killed a monster buck it just made me want to hunt more. Probably won't kill another deer that big for a long time if ever, but still have same itch to hunt all the time. Only now, nothing to prove. Just my opinion, but either you love to hunt or you don't. Pretty darn tough to change that!

There is not ruined if you like to hunt... True...but the bar it set mighty high...most folks hunt their whole lives and never even see (let alone kill) a buck like that. I do wish I was in the position though...LOL

The video says that it's getting getting mounted. The more I look at it, the more amazing it is, it's basically a eight point plus a lot of junk yet totals 240+ green.

I'd rather see a kid hunt and kill one that big as he did than to see someone pay an ungodly amount to bring their children and kill a monster on a high fence. But to each his own. That's a heck of a deer, bet he's going to get all the girls at the dance now!

I totally disagree that he would be ruined for life, he will be a lifelong hunter. The memory of that day will make him bust outta bed on the crappiest of days even when he is old. Congrats to him and I hope he has several decades of great hunting in his future. That is an awesome moment captured in time!
