 What qualifies as "unbranched"?

Have a goofy looking buck on cam that has one long spike that barely forks at the end. I doubt the forked part is over a half-inch long.
Is it any branching at all? Tried to look online, but hard to do from my phone and I'm in the stand. Could someone help me out and give me how TPWD defines it? Don't want to make a mistake.

It's not a matter of trigger happy. He's a 3.5 to 4.5 year old buck that has crappy genetics. I'd just like him out of my heard and would prefer to use a spike tag to do it.

A buddy of mine had one like that on camera and had a chance to shoot it. He didn't because we both looked at the pic and looked at the TPWD handbook and couldn't figure out if it was legal. Technically it was branched but the branch was smaller than TPWD considers a point. Be nice to get clarification on this.

The TPWD Outdoor Annual is pretty clear. If still confused then, Search for one of the other 20 threads asking the same question.

Unbranched as in 1 point on one side.
Point defined as a projection that extends at least 1" from the edge of a main beam or another tine.

Interesting how some of these guys will spend more time telling someone to "do their research" than giving a straight answer. Guess that's how pegasaurus gets his post count up. Probably used to provide feedback, but nothing of real value lately I suppose.

I have one buck on my place with a spike on one side and a fork on the other. On the spike side is a small brow tine but not one on the branched side. It looks like a 3.5 or maybe older deer. I've been curious whether a brow tine is considered as branched. I'm assuming that it does but there is no illustration.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.

Anything under 1" isn't considered a "point". It can be 31/32 long and it still isn't a point. nothing can protrude of the main beam past .999 of an inch
1 inch is considered a point or "branch" no matter where on the antler it is ....
if he has a 1/2 inch "crab" and nothing else he isnt branched
