I have a Sig and love it. Only thing is it's kind of small for my hand. I look at it as the price you pay. It is SMALL and easy to conceal. No experience with the Springfield but realy like the looks of it.

Personally, I'd go with the EMP. Springfield has been making them longer than Sig the 938 I believe. Plus I like the 1911 style. There also seems to be more aftermarket support for the EMP. VZ grips makes nice grips for them but I think they only make Sig 238 grips unless they also fit the 938. But for conceal carry, I'm not sure about the upswept beaver tail. I know plenty of people carry 1911s, but the beaver tail looks like one more thing that can hang on a shirt.
Either pistol is probably fine as they're both reputable manufacturers.

Saw a episode the other day highlighting the EMP. Sweet looking gun. The thing that empressed me the most was the accuracy. That thing was deadly at seven yards. Free handed he was almost stacking the shots. Would like to get one but that $1000 price tag got me a little scared.

I don't have any experience with the EMP, but I have a RIA tactical officers model in 9mm which I believe is the same size. I love it. X2 to chris at 7 yards most any handgun can put it through the same hole if the shooter does his part. 50 yards 50 rounds doing the Texas CHL qualifier. Here it is compared to a fullsize 1911. At longer distances the shorter barrel gives way to the accuracy a bit, but its not like I'm going to be shooting anything at those distances with my carry gun anyway. And here is the same target, shooter, and shot sequence as before except with the fullsize 1911 just you show you difference in accuracy longer range.

I dont have experience with the 938 only what I read about it (well built slightly heavy trigger)
I have fired the 9mm emp and it is amazing. If it wasnt so expensive I would probably own one. Ive never fired such a small tack driver before

Lol, figured someone would post that. Well if I were in the same situation, considering he was at his house at the time of shooting, I'd just grab the AR instead of my carry gun. I guess there are instances out there when you need to, but not very likely.

two very different guns, the 938 is a pocket pistol and not great to have fun with at the range.

Have owned both and they are totally different guns. They are also both excellent guns.
The 938 is way easier and safer to CC. The EMP is just an awesome weapon.

Different guns. The EMP is a compact 1911. And some compact 1911's run and some don't. Look around and more people talk about trouble with less than 4" barrel 1911's than all other 1911's put together.
The 938 is based on the old Colt Mustang and upgraded into 9mm. It looks like a 1911 but internally it isn't (and it doesn't have a grip safety if that's important to you). The 938 is TINY. Literally like 3/8 of an inch bigger than a 238/Mustang (in .380).
The EMP has a better trigger, but it's bigger and heavier.
Depends on what you want to do with it and how you want to carry.
