All through the month of September and October, I had multitudes of deer coming and going from my feeder. A few disturbances from the LO and his family during Halloween week seemed to keep them away for awhile, but re-filled the feeder Saturday morning after the hunt and Saturday night had a couple of deer coming back. Went back to the lease this morning and nada. Havent hunted since Sunday afternoon, and even at night I have ZERO deer on the cameras. I know its only 2 days, but this is not normal for my area. I sit in the stand from 5:30am til 11:00am today, and did not see so much as a rabbit. Now, in the previous 2 months, Sept. and Oct., I had seen ZERO hogs, but wouldnt you know it, about 3 days before opening morning the camera picks up a buncha hogs. Now, every night between 11:30pm and 12:30am, a ton of hogs are hitting the feeder and are gone from the area by about 3:00am. You think maybe this is the cause of not seeing any deer during shooting hours? I would think that since the hogs are leaving the area in the early morning hours, and not coming back until real late at night that it would not have much of an effect on the deer, but I have not had a chance to take a single shot at any deer yet this year. Its frustrating, as driving home from the lease Sunday evening, I counted 3 deer dead on the road, yet I cannot seem to see even 1 at the lease. Really frustrating seeing a really large 8-point on the side of the road hit by a car. All these dead deer killed by cars, yet I cant even have even one single shot with a gun.

Hunted by the lake last year. It started good, not a ton of pics, but enough to keep you interested. By bow season, the numbers thinned out, a lot. By gun season..... nothing. I hunted all but 2 weekednds and saw a total of 5 deer the whole season..... 2 does the 2nd weekend, the rest were after Christmas. Had traffic around us, neighbor on one side shooting a pistol.
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

The deer stopped coming to the feeders at our place near Coleman 2nd weekend of October. We don't have hogs. But we do have a lot of green grass and acorns for the last month.
