I've got a small kiddie pool on the back patio for the dog's and every evening the Whitewings and Urasians come and get a drink. I watched one Whitewing fly to the middle and swim around for about 5 seconds like a duck then flew up landed on the chair shook himself and did it again. Couldn't grab my camera quick enough, I was shocked!

It's amazing the things we get to see out doors, but never seen a dove take a "dip" either.

I watch a "button" buck this morning playing with a squirrel, yeah a squirrel!, this went on for nearly 8 minutes until the doe tire of all the jumping and bucking.

What were you drinking when this "swimming dove" event happened this afternoon?

or three or four... not saying it did not happen but it is one of those events that you will have to have or it did not happen.

keep watching and maybe next you will see a large mouth bass jump out of it to catch a fly.

I watched a bass jump and catch a squirrell off a tree limb that was eatn a acorn. Later the same bass jumped from the river and put another acorn on the limb.

I have seen an immature hawk swimming in my water hole. Turns out, a lot of bird species sometimes swim. I know it seems really odd, but it happens.

Still waiting, the dogs were out and that keeps them away, it's 32 right now so I don't expect him to be hitting the pool today. Plus I'm hunting this evening and the next.
