I've got a small kiddie pool on the back patio for the dog's and every evening the Whitewings and Urasians come and get a drink. I watched one Whitewing fly to the middle and swim around for about 5 seconds like a duck then flew up landed on the chair shook himself and did it again. Couldn't grab my camera quick enough, I was shocked!

It's amazing the things we get to see out doors, but never seen a dove take a "dip" either.
I watch a "button" buck this morning playing with a squirrel, yeah a squirrel!, this went on for nearly 8 minutes until the doe tire of all the jumping and bucking.

What were you drinking when this "swimming dove" event happened this afternoon? OK I'll admit I may have already had a drink by then maybe two but that damn dove swam around like a duck for about 5 seconds then came back and did it again. I'll be waiting for him this afternoon if I have to sit there until dark. Camera in video mode!

Camera in video mode! or three or four... not saying it did not happen but it is one of those events that you will have to have or it did not happen.

At least the dove story is original. It could have been about a pink elephant or a pig with wings!

Well did the swimming dove make his casting call today? I would think that video would go viral on the internet.

I have seen an immature hawk swimming in my water hole. Turns out, a lot of bird species sometimes swim. I know it seems really odd, but it happens. Check out this bald eagle that can't grab a fish from the water, so he lands and swims it to shore. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87xNpOYOlQ4

Well did the swimming dove make his casting call today? I would think that video would go viral on the internet. Still waiting, the dogs were out and that keeps them away, it's 32 right now so I don't expect him to be hitting the pool today. Plus I'm hunting this evening and the next.

Neat vanguard!
The dove story is cool too!
I saw a yearling fawn and a bird play with each other for about 10 minutes last week. I swear the bird followed him...
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.
