I see lots of pics of big boars probably over 175 lbs on hunts. If not good to eat, what happens to most of these? If I get one of the big guys on a hunt, and don't want to eat, what do I do with it? Just curious.

I wouldn't shoot it if I wasn't gonna eat it.

A lot of people leave them for the coyotes to eat.

A lot of people leave them for the coyotes to eat. Yep. Drag the boar's carcass with your truck or UTV to a good spot and come back after dark and shoot coyotes.

Personally, I don't care if you're going to eat 'em or not. Hogs are invasive, destructive and prolific. You need to shoot each and every one of them every time you have the opportunity.

Most I leave DRT. I just don't like the taste of wild hog. I have had many people give me some and everytime I smell that musk scent on the meat...forget it. I will gladly donate it to someone that may want it but if I need meat I will go get something else. The hunt for them I really enjoy, just not the meat.

Roll em on their belly and cut the backstraps out! Leave the rest to kill coyotes over!

Hogs are the one thing that I don't even care if I recover. I like to eat them, but getting rid of them should be our #1 priority. Just ask the landowner if he wants them on his land.
