Let him burn a little more next time, 1st degree burns don't get the point across most of the time.

How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

Hunting Buddy went to the bow stand a little overserved on Sat Evening. Took his 4 wheeler. Went to get him after the hunt since he did not show back up (thought he was sleeping). Turns out his 4 wheeler was missing. we looked everywhere and assumed that someone had taken off with it. Well next morning after he was sober he hunted the same stand and low and behold 4 wheeler was parked 20 feet in some dense brush 50 yards away. At least nobody acutally stole it. Funny as sh*t now.

I enjoy drinking by the fire but it's all in moderation. I always drink one cup of water to every cup of Crown cheers

A few years ago at the lake my BIL threw some old copper tubing in the fire. Couple teens from a few sites over came by to find out how we made "rainbow fire." As straight as I've ever seen him my BIL tells them we painted the firewood. The next evening those idiots were spray painting everything they could burn.

Amazingly, some of the best memories i have of deer hunting over the years is the stuff that happens at deer camp. One of our favorite things to do now that we're older & wiser is to sit around the fire, have a few beers and reminisce about the young & dumb days of long ago. I love hearing these stories....keep 'em coming

well while we are talking about fun things at camp. one night after the hunt, and dinner, me and a buddy decided to go out and go ahead and fill the feeders instead of doing it before we left the next day. well we took out on the mule, and it was extremely wet adn muddy. we filled a few feeders and it was getting colder so we started hauling butt to get back to camp. well the headlights on the mule werent to strong and all at once we came up on a skunk running down the road we were on straight toward us!!! we saw him at about 40 ft and i hit the brakes and we slid all the way up to him side ways both holding on and holding our breath for the on coming skunk spray......well luckly it never came and we had a good laugh after wards......and that best friend of mine died the next year in a car crash so it makes that story and memory even more wonderful

i will also add the same above friend from my skunk story got to shoot his first deer that trip. well it was a nice fat doe. we hung her up on the skinning rack amd soon found out he was a little squemish and didnt like the thought of having to skin his own deer. i told him i would help get it started and then coach him through it. i started the gutting and let him take over and he knicked the stomach sack just so that her FULL stomach seriously squirted liek a water hose all over his legs and shoes....needless to say i had to finish the job.....

No question that drunks can become what legends are made of.

Like the night we had two guys drinking around a fire and doing their best to become totally transparent. That's what I call being one notch above bullet proof. What the two failed to notice while sitting there was the temperature of four gallons on spent motor oil that was in a five-gallon bucket, right where they had left it after using it on the fire.

You guessed it, eventually that oil reached its flash point, resulting in the two of them going from shet-faced to sober in less than two seconds. The burned leaves and branches on the three that was near the fire provided clear evidence of what had happened that evening. And it was only by the grace of God that neither of them were hurt.

I agree, guns and alcohol don't mix
period, end of discussion.

Now, at the end of the day when the hunting is over and the guns are secured, a drink or two is fine.

But I go to hunt, not deal with idiots who don't understand the word "moderation"

I'm not sure who I'd want less on a lease: a total sloppy drunk or a bitchy sober prude.

Well the first is prone to hurthimself and others...the second is only likely to get hurt himself.

At our lease, the former (thank god it is former) lease manager liked to have his buddies out to party.

Well, he is also a snake guy and had several aquariums with snakes
One with several copperheads and a rattlesnake, one with a boa and one with 2 Pit Vaboons

Screw that
I hate snakes and wanted to fill em all with gasoline

One night his dumbass drunk buddy is in the house jacking with the snakes
I have my two boys with me and this dumbass is shakin cages and openening the lid on these snakes.

Screw that [censored]

Add in a fight and someone knocks over a cage?

I guess I feel lucky to be alive with some of the crap I pulled off in my younger days and don't want to press my luck.

I am all for huriting a bottle of Crown at the end of the day but I want to be able to get up at 5 and go hunt hard all day.

So, I don't want anything to do with drunk idiots on a deer lease.
Have a few then shut the F up and go to bed!

I thought you milked snakes, not jack em. confused2

We didnt fall in to any fires last weekend, but for some reason we got drunk and chased a wild donkey in a F250 with a Lassoo....for about 2 hours at night....just so we could tie it up to our sober sleeping buddies tent...didn't see anything next morning for some reason....and yes there is video...no animals were harmed during this retard-fest.
