Good luck to everyone!!!! Is this an invitation?
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

We scrapped our hunt east of Dodge - just not enough birds and didn't want to hurt the ones that were there. It's hard though - I've been hunting opening or second weekend for 39 years, either in the OK panhandle or SW Kansas, and I am not used to this at all!
Good luck - hope you do well!!

I'll be heading to Dighton on Friday. Father-in-law has been hunting opening weekend for the last 27+ years in a row (never missed a year). I've joined the last 8 or so. We've had great years and not so great years when it comes to birds but every year is a great time company wise!

With the front moving in Saturday there will be major wind but at least it will be nice and cold Sunday.
If you guys are taking dogs my Dad has told me the ticks have been abnormally thick this year. Might want to check your dogs after the hunt. Need it to freeze for several days up there to kill them off.
