Gahh what a buck! Man that sucks

That is a total shame... That was a beautiful buck with a lot of character. I hope that guy learned a lesson.

I just dont get it...i have killed deer before and watched them drop and still waited 30 min to go get it..i dont understand on a buck like that how u can such an idiot...wow..

Same thing happened here. Biggest buck we ever seen in southern OK got shot with muzzleloader and we never found him and had good pics of him too just days before he was shot.

I know a gut shot isnt ideal, but it is leathal, he shouldnt have made it too far.

We shot one last year and found it the next morning (shot at 7pm and found at 6am)...all that was left was head and half a spine

Could happen to anyone, I would look harder.

look for buzzards or maybe you can smell him in a week or so

Like you said in first post he hasn't hunted much. Maybe first time to get a chance at a buck much less a good buck. Maybe buck fever? I am sure there are many on here that can relate. It is a shame he lost it.... I bet he feels a lot worse than you do. You ever loose one? get over it and quit bashing him you sound like a bigger idiot than he does.

Hey samh...im sure he feels bad cause he should..i said the guy doesnt hunt much on my place..he has been hunting all his life..all im saying u dont shot a buck like that and think u hit it bad..sit in the stand ten min and go look for it..kick it up and say the heck with it..and yes i have lost deer before..but i have learned from mistakes and do the right thing to recover the deer..like i said i have killed deer, seen them go down and still waited 30-45 min to recover it..who hasnt lost one..if u havent u dont hunt very much..so yes the guy is an idiot like i said..
