I've been watching two very nice bucks chasing does for atleast 2 1/2 hours. Too bad I'm on a location at work. Talk about frustrating! BTW it is extremely hard to concentrate on work when two bucks are running around oblivious to their surroundings.

I'm jealous.. At least you're out and get to enjoy watching deer run around during the day.. I'm stuck in an office.. Wanna trade for the day!!

I just got home from Panola Co and where I hunt, not even close to a rut. Must be one that came in early. Our rut is usually always the week of Thanksgiving.

What part of panola county do you hunt? This was dang near inside the city limits of Carthage.

About 5 miles north, off 59 in the Sabine bottom. I did see more scrapes being made and at one location, my camera has a lot of fighting or sparring going on. But I hunted that Sun evening and figure rattlin would be good, but nothing came in. Had 2 youth hunters out and all the bucks they saw were either together, or by themselves. One saw a big group of does, but no bucks came in.

I tried some rattling this past weekend too near Nacogdoches with no luck. Maybe the doe this morning came into estrous early, but those bucks were definately interested in them. One buck actually chased a doe across an open field to 50 or 60 yards from us into some brush. Then she ran back across the field and he came a few minutes later with his nose to the ground. We even yelled at him and he didnt even look up.
