Ok, you are in the blind, is facemask/cover/paint still necessary?

depends on the blind, and how much you move. But more than likely yes.

I will never understand ducks. I can be totally hidden in my blind and they will flare. Other times I can have my truck backed up to the water and fishing and they drop right in. I think some ducks are more leary than others.

doesn't matter if it's face mask or paint, but use something and keep your head down.

Unless you're unsure of your manliness like some people on this thread.

Go to this thread and look at the second picture. In the distance you can see the blind. In the blind you can see my brother's pumpkin head shining like a new moon.

I can't stand face masks, I hate them. I don't like face paint either. I usually just hide my face in the blind material or tree or use whatever kind of stuff I am set up on. I wear glasses, they fog up with a face mask. Face paint is too hard to remove. I dip snuff and it is a pain in the butt trying to spit with a face mask.

I prefer NOT to use a blind. In my experience hugging up next to a tree is much more likely to bring ducks in.

ANd whether in a blind or not you are not welcome in my group UNLESS you put on a facemask or camo makeup. I prefer the makeup. B etween blowing the call and having to spit the damn facemask gets ripe pretty quick.

There is nothing worse than reaching into your kit bag before a hunt and realize you forgot to wash your facemask.

BTW the BEST camo makeup is the charred end of a wine cork.

The best way to remove camo makeup is to keep a few baby wipes in a ziploc baggie in your bag. It takes just a couple of those to clean you up pronto post hunt.

i aint into baby wipes or cold cream. I am 100 percent redneck and I have no intentions of carrying baby wipes or cold cream to the blind. There is just something way down inside that tells me it aint right.

I was raised to believe that the TRUE redneck way to do things is the EASIEST way possible by spending the least amount of money possible.

Putting on a little makeup in the duck blind does not threaten my masculinity one bit.

I cannot STAND a facemask. I wind up fighting that durn thing all morning.

I haven't worn a face mask or face paint in 3 years and haven't noticed a difference in the amount of ducks I kill.

I like my face mask when it's cold. I don't wear it during early teal since they don't care anyway. I never have to adjust it or anything. It isn't too thick or itchy either.

Never tried paint. Don't have anything against it... I just don't want to bother with having to take it off. The mask doesn't bother me at all, keeps me warmer, and is easy on and off.
