First hunt with my daughter this morning and she missed. I blame myself, the deer was a little out of her comfort range of 75 yds, but I told her to shoot. She missed by a few inches. She almost started to cry when my son leaned over and said, hey it happens you'll have another chance. I couldnt have said it better and it made her feel ok about it.

Pretty sure she's hooked, afterwards I asked what happened since she's usually a hell of a shot. She was shaking like a leaf and couldn't clam down. Good ol' doe fever haha.

My son missed his 1st deer and his 1st three hogs due to buck fever and hog fever before great shots on both . Never seen a case of the fever like that. His whole body was convulsing. He took it all in stride tho. Hope she stays with it..

The main thing on my son was getting a chair the right height for the blind. I had to work on that to get a system that worked. Now I have a chair that adjusts to any height and locks with a big set screw. Don't know why she missed but that was my sons main reason. He shot over em and I think he was on em but when he pulled the trigger that made the gun butt go down a little and caused him to shoot high. Now he doesn't have to stretch to be tall enuf.

How old is your daughter? It'll make the moment that much better when she finally connects. when my son finally got his buck and we were cleaning it I said if he would have missed we wouldnt have to be doing this and he just quietly said "I'm glad I didn't miss." I was kinda glad he missed the 1st one and didn't get a giant buck as a 1st deer, I believe he appreciates it more now and has more to look forward to..
