Honestly, rain kinda sucks. I like the North wind though.

What I really love is a good freeze and some sleet.

I agree...big rain = me sleep in. I ain't that mad at 'em like I was when I was younger.

'Posed to rain here in centex starting tonight and end tomorrow early afternoon. My group of kiddos gonna have cool temps, brisk north winds and no rain for the opening weekend. I am excited for them.

Give me the sunniest cloudless day you can get, toss in a north wind of 10+ with a temperature drop of 20 degrees and that's what I call perfect. I'll hunt in the rain, but those bright sunny days with a cold north wind are what make for the best hunts of the season.

Not as many as we normally do about this time of Oct. Thinking this front ought to change that real quick.

And 10% now. Can't put too much on a 10 day forecast.

Never said location...but since you brought it up, yes, there used to be alot of green in centex from the early 90's up until about 2001 when they cut the peanut subsidies and sod became the farmers bread and butter over corn during the housing boom. Strong enough front comes down and the area can and will load up but with nothing to really hold them anymore( food) they disappear quick. Can usually get a day or 2 of straight green before they high tail it out of town but it ain't nowhere like it used to be. Of course, you can say that about many parts of the state now. We just don't get, much less hold, the green we used to. But as long as they still make gasoline I ain't skeert to fill up and go where I know they are for sure ;)yingyang

I'd like to see 25* to 30* with a fair north wind 10 to 15 mph and heavy rain like 3 to 6 inches, really got to have that early wind and rain it will help with blocking up the boat ramp????????colder the better a little ice or snow would just be frosting on the cake grin whistle
