Hey guys,
I am thinking about purchasing a public permit because I have family out in jefferson which is close to Caddo Lake. My cousin is about to get back into the forces so I want to head out there with him and hunt some hogs or maybe some deer.
What do people think about the public land on caddo lake? Any issues with gators? We have a jon boat, do we need to haul it over there to help us get around?
Thanks,
LF

I'm going hunting down there this weekend. I grew up hunting ther and have seen a few gators but not alot. Hogs are taking over the area like everywhere else. Ill be glad to show you round to a few spots if were ever down there at the same times.

The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.- Thomas jefferson

I'm taking a trip out to caddo with the wife on the weekend of the 16th to do some scouting since i've never been. Whats caddo like for rabbits and turkey (in spring) beyond hogs?
