Anyone else hunting this morning? I walked up on two does bedded down coming in this morning. Watched them for 5 minutes or so, tried to circle them to keep them from getting up and taking off, but I crunched over a stick and they erupted from the thicket stampeding into the darkness. Great start. I also have those gas station tamales, which have become my ritualistic hunting breakfast, brewing a wicked concoction with sinister doom inside my digestive tract. I used the tree and shop towels once this morning already, but there is this fermenting foreboding that this may have to be a short morning hunt...

Only saw those deer. Had a buck at my feeder 10 minutes before I walked in I seen on the game cam. Did some walking around and found some good rubs and scrapes that brightened my spirits. Mostly today i had to fill and repair feeders.
