Yes. I was at my place near Caddo Lake off Hwy 43 this last weekend and there are scrapes everywhere. Many are in the same locations as last year as i try to remember not to trim the licking branches. Most are on edges of pastures, gas pipeline or logging roads.

What part of Harrison do you hunt?

We have had ground scrapes in Rusk County for over a month already. I think if you aren't finding any you're just not looking in the right spot.

South Rusk county.
Saw one a few days ago in my pasture. It is an old scrape. Probably 3 or 4 weeks old.

Ive spent my time in the woods. feed year round, plant spring/fall food plots, and bowhunting since opening day. doe traffic seems normal. nothing else out of the ordinary just not finding sign in the places where im used to finding scrapes, rubs, bucks on camera etc. thanks for sharing your info.

We have a lease out by latex that is looking really good for rubs and scrapes as well.

You know, there could be another explanation. It is my experience, when you see a bunch of scrapes, you will see a bunch of young bucks. When you see one or none, could be a hoss ruling the roost.

I love that area of Texas. One of best friends lives of Lake Cooper Rd off of FM134 and we go visit and fish and drink and drink and eat and eat. Good luck over there.

Was at our place off Sue Bell lake road North of Marshall 3 weeks ago and had scrapes and rubs all over the place. Found the first real signs of hogs since we have been there since 1977. I hunt every year and have never seen a hog, but feel like that is about to change.

Shocked you have never had hogs in that area. Every lease or friends land i've hunted in Marshall over the past 35 years has had hogs, although i have never really hunted the north much. I've alwasy hunted east near Caddo or south near the Sabine River.

Saw a few signs last year but no hogs. I won't be in town till next Wed but a friend and his girlfriend were scouting last night and got a video of a hog at one of our feeders so that is the first confirmed sighting. I am sure it won't be the last.

PS. Pat I think you know me and my girlfriend Angie Matthews!! LOL
