Well, I finally got the evasive woodie drake last year and I literally had to HUNT him! Took several tries cause the area they were at was at a certain time certain place everyday. Even belly crawled to em but missed when they flared. (never see any woodies so for me was a cool deal)

I think it would be a cinny or pintail. never see those either but who knows what that north wind will bring this year. smile

Staying local I would like a cinnamon teal. I got a golden eye I need to get mounted.

Never really considered having anything mounted until recently, I have never really like alot of the wall mounts but when I seen the stringer of dead ducks hanging I thought that was pretty cool.

I'd like to get my first green head this year. I've been fortunate to shoot some of the more rare ducks that have been mentioned. Pintail, Widgeon, Cinnamon, and a Woody Drake over the past two years. Mostly I just shoot Gadwalls, though.

And he said, "get your ducks in a row and we'll go hunting." So we did.....

You may want to check but an import ban was just issued on birds from Mexico. I knpw some pf the big outfitters are working on a process to gettem back. Honestly- leave em there and buy a $60 premium cinn from a breeder for your mount. Your gonna pay most taxis at least $100/ bird to import and process. Our mazatlan trip didn't restrict to # of birds. 100 shells/ hunt. We had a teal shoot that we burned 500 rds in 45 minutes. If you ask you can get some stalking opportunities for things like purple gallinules and fulvous/black belly whistlers. Take some binos.
