OK, so this is my first year on a place in SE OK. I think all of these deer are 2.5, my question is are these deer all 2.5 and (if so) would you consider the little 8 a cull? The 6pt is cool looking, if he makes it a few more years his rack should be neat.

+1 Take out the 6

They look 2.5 to me. I wouldn't cull 2.5yo 6's and 8's unless you've got 2.5 yo 10's running the woods.

Only reason I would think about culling the little 8 is because…..Well he is little. Smaller rack than the other bucks his age. I’d like the 6 walk a few years, he has a few kickers and trash that I think will look cool down the road.

If your buck to doe ratio is where you want it and you are at carrying capacity, then I would shoot the 6 point. If not keep them all.

confused2 How are you going to get 2.5 yr 10's if you keep letting these 6's and 8's do the breeding when they mature and stay less than 10? nidea popcorn

That first pic looks like a very nice 2 yr old "High Potential" buck (opportunity for it to score 170 when mature). The last pic looks like a 3 year old deer that will never score over 120.

Few more pics of the larger 8. Not bad for a 2.5 year old IMO

Here is a 110" I stuck last year in Grayson County. It should help you judge your deer. One of his G1's is broken off, but still had 1" of score on it (it goes back and you can't see with this angle). I thought this one would score mid 120's....but, I do score them tight. I will re-score it more generous and let you know how it added up.

I just put a metal tape to him and it went right at 120"
