He's definitely long....but those open, shallow twists are ugly in my opinion.

A blackbuck that long should have at least 4 twists....not 2 1/2.

I think you are looking at the dark one not the light colored one.

No....I'm looking at the light one (facing the camera).

yeah me too, hes nice but no giant IMO. There small bodies make them horns look way bigger than they are, If he had 4-5 curls he may impress me but 3 curls and 22" range isnt a giant but still a great BB.

Ya that grass growing around the pond is good but not great too..should be 8" instead of 4" in my opinion. Good grass just not great..

LOOKS LIKE A AWESOME RANCH WITH GREAT ANIMALS! Very Nice!

That is a huge Black Buck. Go ahead and post up the much larger ones you've taken or have pictures of, I would love to see them.

I have a 20" on the wall and another 18" and that one is much more than 2" bigger. The curls could be tighter, but I think this is more impressive. That part is up to the individual.

No one ever said he was short....he is most definitely a long buck, well over 20". He might even be as long as 23"-24"....but that doesn't change the fact that he has VERY poor twists (which ultimately affect overall score in a negative way because measurements around the curl will suffer).

In my opinion, loose twists/curls are ugly and are indicative of poor genetics. As I said earlier....a Blackbuck that long should have 4 full curls at the very minimum. This buck only has 2.5 curls...

Alright fellas....I stated plainly in my posts that it was MY OPINION. I never meant to offend anyone, if I did I apologize.

However, I have studied exotics my entire life and that buck....although very long....also has somewhat poor horn configuration. That is a fact, and not debatable. That doesn't mean he isn't still a great trophy for someone. I personally would not be interested in a buck like that....but many people would, and that is perfectly fine.

I'm not offended that easily smile No worries, just pointing out that very few blackbuck shot will be longer than that one. I'd shoot him if he walked out.
