Just wondering if others are noticing lots of turkey this past summer and early fall. I had no less than 75 pictures of turkey over the past 2-3 months which is rather high for my place. Lots of gobblers and younger turkey. I'm in Young county near Murray. Had tons of grasshoppers late summer so maybe that had something to do with it.

Spence, noticed your signature line, Corpus Christi. I grew up just north of Saratoga in Country Club Estates. How are things going in Corpus?

Been at my ranch for over 8 years now. I have never seen so many turkeys.

Yep, we have seen a lot more of them on our place over the course of the summer too. I kept a couple of our feeders running through most of the summer and added some protein to the mix to help keep them around. They love that protein.

Seeing them for the first time ever at our place this year out in Palo Pinto. It was funny because the last time I was heading to the lease to fill the feeders and check the cameras, my buddy and I were talking about how nice it would be to take a turkey home sometime while hunting, and low and behold, we get to the lease and find tons of pics on the cameras of turkeys. Kind of ironic if you ask me.

Had one gobbling on our neighbors place in Anderson county...have never seen or heard a turkey in Anderson county. That's good news to hear the numbers are bounding like that.

Landowner on the place we hunt in Junction said that there are tons of young birds on the place this year and lots of gobblers left over from last year. Looking forward to spring turkey season!

Last deer season we saw a total of about 6 turkeys on over 6000 acres. So far this year, we have seen hundreds with lots of young poults. Spring rains must have came at a good time.

They have always been few and far between over the past 8-10 years on our place. This morning I saw 40-50

I have noticed 2 large groups showing up at my feeders within the past month
one group of hens and the other group is mostly jakes with 2 large mature gobblers

before that, I have only seen a few here and there

We are hunting a few miles to the west of you around Woodson, and "Yes" we are seeing alot more turkey's and turkey sign this year, compared to the last few yrs. Spring rains really helped!!

One of the guys on the lease killed a couple w/ his bow already!
