For that money, I'd go for a walk in the woods, then go to the local grocery store and buy a couple packages of sausage and chops.

No, it's really simple. They don't want anyone hunting anything. When last I heard, 3 out of the 5 DF&G board members were greens.

I would pay it. I hear all this talk on here about the hunt and the experience and its not about the kill. Well if I go to California and spend a few hundred dollars hunting new land then the money's worth it. So what if its for a pig tag the fact is if I feel the money spent is worth the experience I had I'm fine with it. We pay $12 for a sack of corn and when I go hunt Ohio they laugh and call us stupid cause they get tons of corn from farmers for nothing, its about availability.

Resident and nonresident licensed hunters, 12 years of age or older at the time of application, may purchase an unlimited number of Wild Pig Tags. Tags are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
Nonresident Wild Pig Tag-$71.54
There goes their income from out of state pig hunters. I feel bad for the outfitters.

it get worse.... you can only hunt during daylight hours, can bait, cant use supprsors and must use lead free bullets.

I don't know if y'all have seen those game warden shows produced in CA, but they talk about protecting their "natural resources" including hogs, which I found funny. One episode I saw involved the sleuthing and finding of a pig poacher. Now the guy poached other things as well, but apparently what got their attention was pig poaching. My gut reaction was that "pig poaching" was an oxymoron.
