I built one just like it only smaller(30' of 4"x4" 48"x20'panels) about 3 months ago. Worked great.

Yes, would like some updates. Good idea. If it's successful I'll try one.

Looks good monte.
Did you overlap the panels about 6in.? I had some big hogs break out of mine before I started overlapping the panels.

That's all we normally use. We made ours smaller and didn't have the long "wing" to funnel them in. Our door opening was a little larger and we wrapped the long arm part a little closer so when the door slammed shut, there was no way of pushing it open. We used a T post about every 3 feet and added an extra one by the door. We have had ours torn up by pigs. We use a trip wire to set it off.

i over lapped it. 5 pannels , i thought about putting a second door on the other side and a wing just to see if we catch more

Cool. I'm going to be building one soon and have been curious about overall size so this helps knowing I can get one made with the 6 or 7 panels I still have at my property

So what is your procedure for activating the trap to catch?
first you feed corn to get them coming in. Will you hang a small hanging feeder? Or just throw in corn in a day or two before trapping time.
When it's time to trap will you set a trigger to close the gap? Or let them squeeze threw the choke gap?

i put 25 lbs of corn in it and open the gap so the first hog will hopefully go easy then the others will just push open the pannel, no hanging feeder . mite put a sow in there to draw some boars to the aere to catch with my dogs.
