Went on a mornin hunt to the lake about 2 days ago! I didnt really pay attention to the lake till about 7:00! Reason is i had a dilema whether to shoot this buck or not! Thought it would be safer to not shoot it because not sure if it was a 13 inch spread! Anyways looked out on the lake and had about 100+ ducks on there! Now no mallards but a lot of ring necks and acouple of widgeons here and there! But I thought they came later on in october but i guess not! It looks like its gonna be a good season already!!

I saw some ringnecks on my pond Saturday. Saw some geese the other day following the cold front down.

I've got widgeon, gadwall, bw and gw teal and a bunch of coots south of Austin. We need a decent cold front though.....

Saw a nice group of Widgeons here in Waco. Also three or four pairs of high flyers, big ducks but to far to tell what kind. Hopeing for a goodin. Excited to scout at home this weekend

been seeing teal every time I go dove hunting but one of the stock tanks has 10 to 15 mallards on it every day as well as a handfull of spoonies.

I have been in Texas for 8 years now and this is the most Teal I have ever seen. First waive of bigger ducks are down too. Should be an outstanding year. Can't wait!
