Oklahoma has some great deer and if you get off the beatN path, there are some monsters that have never seen a person before. If you hunt close to the road, that is when you have problems with people stealing stuff and poaching.

Oklahoma is definitely a big buck producer. Just gets a lot of bad press from the poaching and short rifle season. Its a bowhunters paradise. I'm hunting there for the first time this year in SE area. We have some pretty decent bucks on film but no whoppers.

They don't grow pets and kill them once they've reached managements desire

This has to be a joke. Southwest OK is a hidden gem for monster deer. Most of the time you don't hear about them because no one cares if you do or not!

I don't think anyone in Oklahoma owns a computer, therefore we rarely see deer pictures..... Most of the pics you see are from your tech savvy Texans like most of us here. lol...

I hunt in SE Oklahoma and there are some big ones running around. the pines are so think that they can get old without any one ever bothering them. Of course I have no big ones on the wall yet but hope to some day.
