While checking blinds and feeders today, I got struck twice. Thank god I put on my snake boots.

I hate the snakes this time of the year.

Please be on the look out and be safe...

Indeed.... They are out and about!

Funny thing about getting older:
Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to
see through people's BS gets much better.

I think if I were you I'd move my feeder or find a new place to hunt.

We had two baby rattlers and another of some other type in the station yesterday. Hopefully momma and siblings aren't close. Glad you had your snake boots on.

It's that time of year and the snakes are moving to the dening area's, killed three yesterday crawling acros the roads. The most I've ever killed was 8 in one day and it was about this time of year. Keep your eyes on the ground!

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Rattlers give birth this time of year. We had them born in captivity and usually within a day or two they disperse. Mama does not care about them after that. Good chance though to have more close by as they just don't crawl quite that far being that little. Be careful where you put your hands as well. My wife almost got bitten one time trying to pick up a dove after I shot it.

Also, with the snakes starting to head towards their den, which they use the same one year after year, if you have one close by your snake density will be higher and they are congregating close by.

Buddy of mine got bit on his trigger finger Friday. Doc said he may lose it.

Can't be said enough, be careful out there!
