Im new to the forum and this topic may have already been talk about. With that said please lemme know what you know about whitetails having double troat patches.
-why or why not deer have em?
-is it common?(have harvested two bucks with x2 patches)

It is a regional and genetic. Some areas have more of them and others only few deer now and then.

We have quite a few with that trait on our place.

There are a few on the place I have in Gonzales. I think its pretty cool.

I'm wondering why he only has one side of his rack this early in the season

I just posted a big 6 with a double patch. Just a trait some have.

He has already broke that side off, it's a shame too that's a heck of a buck. I had my eye on a 10 at my place, he must of read my thoughts cause 2 weeks after he went hard horned he broke his G2 and 3.
