Does anyone know if its ok to carry a side arm in the sam houston national forest? Im wanting to carry my 9mm on my side.. i know i can carry concealed but just wandering if i can open carry it while also carrying my rifle...

Yes you can carry as long as your not in camp then it has to be out of site.

Can you still carry a pistol even if you don't have a CCL? What about Davy Crockett NF?

Ok yea i just talked to game warden u can carry a side arm while hunting the general season on public land...he stated it was unlawful to carry side arm while bow hunting on public land..
