In my opinion, They are what nearly killed Smith & Wesson. After the 3900/5900 series guns, Sigma came along.

Just to show a few complaints.

Don't have any experience with a Sigma, but I own an S&W M&P .40 and I owned an M&P .45. Love both never had a problem with either gun. Reliable to a fault. Really can't say enough good things about the M&P. Buy one instead of the Sigma, you won't be disappointed.

I had one and put probably 500-800 rounds through it. Worked flawlessly with every kind of ammo I ran through it. The trigger is a stiff squeeze but the gun functions fine. It was a great gun for the price.

I have a Sigma 9mm I keep as a "truck gun". NEVER had any issues with it. I have no complaints with mine, but the trigger pull is pretty bad. I used this video to help with the pull a little bit.

I had a 9mm. It's not amazing like a sig 226, but its a good reliable full size pistol. I would trust my life with it. Ultimately if it goes bang when you pull the trigger every time, which mine did, then it's a good gun. But ultimately theirs a reason why Sigs or glocks are more expensive.

My wife has one for her truck gun. As stated above the trigger is not the best but it goes bang everytime you pull the trigger. She wanted the gun because she was afraid that if she carried her 1911 she might forget to take the safety off in an emergency. She wanted a cheap gun that all she had to was pull the trigger.

Save and buy the Range & Carry Kit M&P; a heck of a lot more gun and useful items for ~$120 more.

Make sure you bring the springs with you.I took out the springs on mine like all the videos showed, and it wouldnt fire.Had to put it back together on the bench at the range
